MacKenzie...the softball CHAMP!

Yes, that's right...MacKenzie's team won the championship...by a long shot! The girls played so good (a lot better than the first couple of games) they really came together as a team and showed us all how much fun they were having! After the game you could tell they were all tired and kenzie made sure to call her cousin Hunter and let him know that they had won. It was a great season and Kenzie has proven what a good little softball player she is...too bad for Kelsey I don't think Kenzie will be dancing she is a sports fan! Here are some of the pictures of the girls after the game...

Headed to the CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!

Kenzie's softball team has been doing so good this year and get to compete in the championship game tomorrow afternoon! She is a great little catcher and absolutely loves hitting the ball. She also got picked to play in the All-Star game on Saturday and is very excited for that! Here is a picture of the team and some of her playing.

Summer Fun...MOVIES!!

So Kelsey and Dusty came up with a great idea for us all to go to a drive-in movie...we used to do this all the time as a family when the kids were younger but I can't even remember the last time we went and either does MacKenzie, so I decided it would be fun to take her to one. So we all piled in the two trucks and took off for ogden. The main movie was "Ice Age" followed by "Night at the Museum." The kids seemed to enjoy themselves...the part that they were actually awake. DelRay slept through the whole thing and Dusty and Kelsey were passed out by the time the second movie started. It was a fun night as you can see from the photos. We also had the chance to go see "Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince" at the Midnight Showing in Brigham this morning with the Isaacson family. It was a great movie...definitely not as good as the book but all the kids seemed to like it, what they actually understood :) I think we all had fun but are all very tired today! Here's some pictures from before the movie...notice Skylar behind the handicap sign!

Bathing Beauty!

Today was such a warm nice day that the girls decided they needed to go out and suntan! Kelsey is constantly made fun of by MacKenzie and Dusty that they are tanner than her so I guess she decided she'd get some sun whenever she could! Kenzie tries to be just like her big sis as you can tell....she is growing up way too fast!

Quick Update

Everyone has been saying we need to update the blog even if we only say that we haven't been doing much...which we haven't. But we did go to Lagoon on Monday for Nucor day! The kids seemed to have fun but had enough after not too long! Kelsey and MacKenzie had fun going on the rides and made fun of their dad all day for not going on ANY! DelRay has never been a fan of rides but the kids continue to remind him what a baby he is! We didn't take any pictures at Lagoon but this is one of the kids on the way home...the girls love to pick on Nate becuase he HATES getting his picture taken!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATE!!

Nate is finally 14 can you believe it?! Only 2 more years and he will be driving...weird! He was not the happiest or nicest birthday boy but I think it's because football every morning has been kicking his butt! Plus baseball in the afternoons, he's just not adjusting too well. Kelsey was at work all day so I'm not really sure what Nate and MacKenzie did all day but when everyone was home it was off to yet another softball game for MacKenzie. I don't think Nate was too happy that we had to spend his birthday at a softball game but he had fun climbing in the tree and pestering his dad. After the game we went back to the house and while I finished decorated the "football" cake we got some good pictures of DelRay cooking dinner! It's not very often that he does this so the kids made sure we put it on the blog! After having dinner the grandparents came over and we all had cake and ice cream. Not much of a birthday party but he chose to go to The Olive Garden tonight to finish celebrating and supposedly he's getting new cleats for football! Happy Birthday Nate we love you!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MACKENZIE!!

MacKenzie is now 10 and thinks she is hot stuff! She decided she wanted to invite some of her friends from school over to the house and we threw her a luau birthday party! I think she had a lot of fun once Nate and Jaron left and got a lot of fun gifts. We set up the deck with all the decorations of a luau you can think of!! They watched Lilo and Stitch, played limbo, did the slip and slide and waterballoon fights, and ate pizza. I made a flip flop birthday cake and Kenzie just had to have playdough ice cream...YUCK! The next day she invited the family over and we had another flip flop cake with chocolate ice cream instead :) We enjoy watching the kids grow up and are so proud of the girl MacKenzie is becoming!! Happy Birthday Kenz!!

Congrats class of 2009!

Well our oldest has finally graduated...proves that me and DelRay are getting pretty old! She graduated Seminary which made us very proud! This is a picture with her and Brother Parkinson which was her favorite Seminary teacher...probably the one that actually made her graduate!!

She also graduated from Bear River High as the top 20% in her class...she had all honors with only one satisfactory and a 3.89 GPA! She says that she was glad to graduate but I think she will realize she misses it when she's in the real world!! :) Congratulations class of 2009! Way to go!
